I am excited to announce the search for an enthusiastic and creative individual to fill the pivotal role of Social Chair. Recently, the Board of Directors voted to create a permanent, compensated Social Chair position to promote stability, enhance efficiency, and streamline the coordination of food and beverage services for all WCC member events.

This role is crucial in ensuring events are seamlessly coordinated, elevating the member experience while also accommodating a record high participation with a budget-conscious perspective. The Social Chair will not only plan and execute a variety of social events but also serve as the primary liaison with Wigwam Catering, Resort Management, and Red’s Management .

Job Title: Social Chair
Reports To: Wigwam Country Club Board of Directors
Compensation: $600 per month (for 8-month season: September – April)
Position Type: Part-Time/Seasonal
Job Overview
Wigwam Country Club is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Social Chair to lead the planning and execution of engaging events that enhance the club experience for its members. This individual will be responsible for curating a dynamic social calendar, coordinating event logistics, and fostering a welcoming and fun community atmosphere. Additionally, the Social Chair will serve as the primary liaison between the WCC and the Wigwam Resort for food and beverage coordination.
Key Responsibilities

Event Planning & Execution: Develop and oversee a seasonal calendar of social events, including themed parties, holiday gatherings, member mixers, and special club traditions.
Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with the Board, club management, catering teams, and vendors to ensure high-quality event experiences.
Food & Beverage Coordination:
- Act as the connection between Wigwam Country Club and Wigwam Resort for food and beverage services.
- Establish and maintain relationships with Wigwam Catering and Reds Management.
- Develop an understanding of available food and beverage options and explore any flexibility in offerings to best suit club events.
Member Engagement: Gather feedback and input from members to tailor events that align with their interests and encourage participation.
Marketing & Promotion: Promote events through club newsletters, emails, social media, and on-site signage to maximize attendance.
Monthly Reporting: Prepare and deliver monthly reports to the Board of Directors, including an overview of past events, plans for future events, feedback received, updates regarding Wigwam Catering and Red’s Management, financials, and any recommendations for continuous improvement.
Budget Management: Work within the designated budget to plan cost-effective events while maintaining high standards of quality.
Committee Leadership: Recruit and lead a social committee to assist in event planning and execution.
Innovation & Trends: Stay updated on event trends and introduce fresh ideas to keep the club’s social scene exciting and relevant.

Strong organizational and event planning skills
Creativity and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and manage deadlines
Current WCC member in good standing

Time Commitment
This position is seasonal, covering the club’s 8-month season from September through April. Time requirements fluctuate based on event schedules, with peak activity occurring around major club events.

Interviews
The Hiring Committee will conduct in-person interviews from March 16-23, 2025.
Recommendation
By March 31, 2025, the Hiring Committee will submit a ranked list of recommended candidates, in order of preference, to the WCC Board of Directors.
Candidate Approval
The recommendation list will be presented for discussion and approval during the April 2025 Board of Directors (BOD) meeting. Candidates will be notified of the results. If the first-choice candidate declines the position, the offer will be extended to the next highest-ranked candidate.
